Community leaders who have made extraordinary efforts in contributing to the welfare of Central Ohioans will be honored at MORPC's State of the Region Luncheon Thursday, April 17 at the downtown Columbus Hilton. 
The William C. Habig Collaborative Achievement Award recognizes an individual or individuals who have achieved an effective effort or innovative collaborative in Central Ohio. The nominees include: 

  • Big Green Head – Karen Ferris CEO 
  • Economic Development 411 (ED 411) 
  • Godman Guild – Ellen Moss Williams 
  • Educational Service Center (ESC) of Central Ohio 
  • Global Columbus 
  • City of Grove City, Franklin County Board of Commissioners, Jackson & Pleasant Townships
  • idUS 
  • The Lancaster Cause – Ron Burris
  • Ohio Solar Communities Consortium

The Regional Leadership Award recognizes individuals in a 12-county region who make extraordinary efforts to ensure the future viability of the region's communities. The nominees include: 

  • David Anderson, Liberty Township
  • Eld. Joseph L. Barnes Sr., Urbancrest 
  • Louis J.R. Goorey, M.D., Worthington City Council
  • Marjory Pizzuti, Goodwill Columbus 
  • Michael Wilkos, The Columbus Foundation
