MORPC Announces Keynote Luncheon Speakers for Summit on Sustainability

Food is essential to our lives. It keeps us and our economy going.  Food preparation and consumption it different, it is an experience.

The Summit on Sustainability is MORPC’s signature environmental conference and this year’s luncheon will feature local food entrepreneurs in a Pecha Kucha style format. The speakers will inform you on sustainable practices related to food production, sourcing, processing, packaging, and distribution.

Each speaker will have 6 minutes to share with you a unique aspect of their business related to the local food supply chain. You will feel inspired, invigorated, and invested to be part of the sustainable local food movement.

This year's dynamic keynote luncheon features the following speakers:

  • Tom Pendrey: Chief Operating Officer, Donatos
  • Abed Al Shahal: Co-Director Columbus Growing Collective
  • Bryn Bird: Director, Canal Market District
  • Glen Courtright: President and Founder, EnviroFlight
  • Matt Habash: Executive Director, Mid-Ohio Foodbank
  • Ryan Lang: Co-Founder and Master Distiller, Middle West Spirits

The Summit will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hilton Columbus Downtown.
