New sustainable2050 Program to Assist Local Governments in Sustainability Efforts

Aug. 8, 2017

Local governments wanting to improve sustainability efforts and recognize the various work of members achieving their sustainability goals are looking to sustainable2050 to help.

MORPC’s 2017-2020 Regional Sustainability Agenda provides a framework for local governments and regional partners to work toward common goals and sustainable2050 puts those achievable goals into action.

Members of sustainable2050 will receive technical assistance from MORPC staff to help achieve their sustainability-related goals. Technical assistance includes, but is not limited to, data collection, analysis, tracking, and increased opportunities for best practices information exchange and funding. MORPC staff will work with select program members during an initial pilot period to develop the type and range of technical services.

sustainable2050 replaces a program formerly known as the Central Ohio Green Pact. We encourage all MORPC members and former Central Ohio Green Pact members to sign a resolution of participation before October 31, 2017.

Members of sustainable2050 will be recognized at MORPC’s annual Summit on Sustainability on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.
