MORPC Launches Center for Energy and EnvironmentOver 500 central Ohioans helped celebrate the launch of the Center for Energy and Environment at a two day Summit on Sustainability and the Environment, held November 13 and 14.

The purpose of the Center is to assist communities throughout central Ohio implement the measures in the Central Ohio Green Pact; to bring business, non-profit, educational institutions and local governments together; and to serve as a clearinghouse and think-tank for responsibly managing resources today for the benefit of future generations. The Center encompasses the well-respected air quality, greenways and weatherization programs.
The Center for Energy and Environment would not be a reality without the support of our founding members: American Electric Power, EMH&T and Ameresco. Founding members will serve on an advisory council with other stakeholders including representation from MORPC board members, the non-profit sector and educational institutions to make important decisions on the direction for the new Center.
Check out the latest issue of C, the Columbus Magazine for a special Green section highlighting the Summit and MORPC's new Center for Energy and Environment.
