Default/Foreclosure Counseling

MORPC provides resources for families who are currently in default or in threat of foreclosure.  Certified counselors can work with you and your lender to negotiate a solution to your delinquency.  MORPC also offers financial assistance to eligible families to assist in bringing the mortgage current. 

The mortgage assistance funds are for qualified homeowners that live in Franklin County but outside the city limits of Columbus. Depending on income, the homeowner may receive up to $3,000 along with one-on-one counseling. For details or to schedule an appointment, call (614) 233-4177 or email our staff.
