housing

MORPC offers a variety of housing-related programs and services to residents of central Ohio.  These services include housing rehabilitation and home repair programs in various central Ohio communities.  We administer state-funded CHIP grants (Community Housing Improvement Programs); and offer construction management, lead-based paint inspections or risk assessments, and clearance testing to agencies or individuals.

We believe that a safe and healthy home not only improves the value of a house but also improves lives.  Our programs include lead-testing to improve the safety of the home for families; and energy-efficient improvements to reduce the cost of maintaining the home.

Our education programs provide counseling for first-time homebuyers, default and foreclosure counseling and financial literacy counseling.  Our programs can be tailored to fit the needs of your community or agency.

For families facing default or foreclosure, we encourage you to contact a HUD-approved housing counseling agency such as MORPC for assistance and ask for help early.  For additional information about foreclosure and other HUD-approved agencies, contact the Franklin County Treasurer’s office at (614) 462-3438 or check their website at www.franklincountyohio.gov/treasurer.   Or check the state treasurer’s website at www.tos.state.gov.

MORPC’s is conveniently located at 111 Liberty Street, Suite 100 in Columbus’ Brewery District off of Front Street. Free parking is available. The facility is handicapped-accessible and located two blocks from a COTA bus line stop.
