MORPC approved the region’s first Complete Streets Policy that requires every roadway project that is MORPC funded to be designed to provide accommodations for cars, bicyclists, pedestrians, transit users and other users on the same road. The new policy also encourages local governments to adopt a Complete Streets Policy for their own communities’ transportation projects. “MORPC is proud to be the first transportation planning organization of this size to put a comprehensive Complete Streets Policy in place,” states Chester R.
