The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is seeking public comments on the transportation projects for the 2012 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). The 2012 MTP is for the MORPC transportation planning area, including Delaware and Franklin counties, Bloom and Violet townships in Fairfield County, and Etna Township and Pataskala in Licking County. The MTP will include highway, pedestrian, bikeway, and public transportation facilities including improvements identified by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) and the Delaware Area Transit Agency (DATA). Federal funding may be sought in the future for projects included in the MTP. The MTP will consider effects upon low-income and minority residents and will include an air quality conformity analysis. The MTP is for the horizon year 2035.
The list of candidate transportation projects can be viewed on MORPC’s website: http://morpc.org/tplan.
Please submit any additional project suggestions to be considered for inclusion in the 2012 MTP to MORPC, 111 Liberty Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215, on or before Sunday, July 31, 2011 or by email to Andrew Taylor at email@example.com.
