transportation

In 2003, the Ohio Department of Transportation started collecting data on the condition of the local road pavements eligible for federal funding. They anticipate collecting this data on a regular basis. Pavement Condition Rating (PCR) data can be used to better manage pavement conditions and prioritize remedial and rehabilitation measures. You may find such data useful in your local community.

MORPC has a responsibility to monitor and report on the condition of the transportation system. This is to encourage the appropriate level of investment in preserving the system. The pavement condition data collected by ODOT provides a uniform measure of conditions on many of the most important roads in central Ohio. ODOT's continued collection of this data will provide an historical perspective of conditions.

  • 2004 ODOT system (state, US, and Interstate) PCRs for the Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union county area are available here. MORPC is in the process of updating this information.
