Citizen Advisory Committee
The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of volunteers representing a broad segment of the population including, but not limited to, low-income and minority households and those traditionally under-served by transportation. The CAC provides opportunities for citizens and other interested groups to participate in current transportation planning efforts such as the Transportation Plan, the Transportation Improvement Program, transportation/air quality planning efforts and other appropriate projects and issues.
The CAC's role is to review and provide comment on transportation projects, plans, programs, environmental analysis, technical and policy information and issues used in the development of plans, programs and policies, and other matters related to the transportation planning process. The CAC advises staff and/or the Policy Committee to adopt, modify or reject plans, programs, and projects. The opinions and comments of the CAC are documented in writing, incorporated into the meeting minutes and are relayed to the staff and Policy Committee. All meetings of the CAC are open to the public.
If you are interested in serving on the CAC or for more information, please email Bernice Cage or call 614.233.4157.
