Community Programs

Cities, towns and villages within our 12-county service area are invited to partner with RideSolutions in a Community Program. Our goal is to work with your community to have commuters living and working there choose sustainable transportation modes when traveling, rather than driving alone. By trip chaining, carpooling, vanpooling, riding transit, and biking and walking whenever appropriate, road congestion and air pollution are reduced, and commuters save money.

One component of a Community Program is giving everyone the tools they need to make good travel decisions. Through education and encouragement, RideSolutions staff can help commuters see the benefits of choosing sustainable transportation modes. RideSolutions staff prepares materials for distribution and will attend events in your community to meet commuters one-on-one.

To make our Community Programs as successful as possible, we partner with local businesses. They are an essential part of a Community Program because they can offer designated parking spaces for carpool vehicles, making is easier for residents to choose to carpool to their workplaces. They also enhance the program by donating prizes for contests; we appreciate the generosity employers have shown in the past.
