Public transportation, or mass transit, is more than just the forty foot long bus running along fixed routes through the urban areas of Central Ohio. There are a variety of Public Transit Agencies that operate fixed-route, paratransit and other on-demand transit systems.

Some private and non-profit transit operators serve specific populations, such as seniors and the developmentally disabled. In many cases, public transit agencies must work with human service agencies through Human Services Transportation Coordination processes.

The Central Ohio Transit Authority has completed its 2016 Report to the Community. Read the report here.
