Transit
Public Transportation, or Mass Transit, is more than just the forty foot long bus running along fixed routes through the urban areas of central Ohio.
There are a variety of Public Transit Agencies that operate fixed-route, paratransit, and other on-demand transit systems.
Some private and non-profit transit operators serve specific populations, such as seniors and the developmentally disabled. In many cases, the public transit agencies must work with the human service agencies through Human Services Transportation Coordination processes.
MORPC hosts a Regional Transit Forum once a quarter. The public transit agencies discuss issues ranging from connecting transit trips across agency boundaries to navigating state grants and regulations.
Periodically, there are Other Transit Initiatives that MORPC or its partners undertake that will result in specific plans or reports.
