CORPO’s Draft Transportation Improvement Program Available for Review and Comment
The Central Ohio Rural Planning Organization (CORPO) now has its draft 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) – a program of transportation projects scheduled for construction – available for public review and comment.
CORPO is an association of local governments conducting regional transportation planning in Fairfield, Knox, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties.
The transportation improvement projects proposed for construction in the seven counties will use approximately $270 million in federal, state and local funds between July 2021 and June 2024. The TIP also shows transportation improvements such as highway, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, bridge, major signal projects, etc. that have undergone a federally required air quality conformity analysis.
The draft TIP is being shared with various county subcommittees. A virtual open house for members of the public will take place March 31 to share aspects of the program, and staff will be available to answer questions. More information on the open house will become available at www.morpc.org/corpo, where the draft TIP is now available.
