Agency Honored by Government Finance Officers Association for Transparency and Accountability
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
The award, the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, was granted for MORPC’s comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2024. An impartial panel judged the report to meet the program’s high standards, specifically noting MORPC’s “spirit of full disclosure” in communicating its financial story.
“It’s truly an honor to accept this Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting on behalf of our organization. To be recognized for 37 consecutive years is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to MORPC's commitment to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of financial management, This recognition belongs to our entire finance team, whose diligence, integrity, and attention to detail make excellence not just a goal, but a standard.”
