MORPC Seeks Public Comments on Technical Assistance Program Guidelines
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission has opened a public comment period for those wishing to provide feedback on the draft Guide for the 2022 cycle of its Technical Assistance Program (TA Program).
The TA Program provides assistance to eligible MORPC members for community-based planning services that help to advance regional goals and specific strategies identified in the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).
The TA Program awards technical assistance services through a competitive application process. Only MORPC-member communities within its metropolitan planning organization area are eligible. The area includes: Delaware County; Franklin County; Bloom and Violet townships in Fairfield County; New Albany, Pataskala and Etna Township in Licking County; and Jerome Township in Union County.
MORPC staff members will assist these communities with specific services intended to move our region closer to meeting the vision and goals established in the Metropolitan Transportation Plan, the Active Transportation Plan, the MORPC Complete Streets Policy and the Central Ohio Greenways Vision.
Members of the public are encouraged to comment on the draft TA Program Guide, which can be viewed here. Printed copies are available upon request.
Comments can be submitted by email to lcardoni@morpc.org or in writing to MORPC, 111 Liberty Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215, Attn: Lauren Cardoni, by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.
