MORPC’s Dina Lόpez Receives Rosa Parks Diversity Award
WTS Columbus has awarded Dina Lόpez, strategic projects manager at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, with its 2020 Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award. The award was presented during the virtual 2020 WTS Columbus Awards Ceremony on April 29, 2021.

The Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award recognizes individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions in promoting diversity and cultural awareness within their organization, the transportation industry, or a project or activity that supports the goals and mission of WTS – to transform the transportation industry through the advancement of women.
López has led and collaborated on a variety of projects, including the Ohio Conference on Freight, Rickenbacker Area Study, LinkUS Mobility Initiative and Rapid Speed Transportation Initiative.
In addition to Lopez’s transportation work at MORPC, she is active in the Columbus community and, as a volunteer, she participated on the City of Columbus Brewery District Planning Commission, Community Shelter Board and the Future Cities Competition board of Ohio, a national competition in the United States that focuses on improving students’ math, engineering and science skills.
WTS Columbus, the local chapter of WTS International, provides opportunities for transportation professionals to connect with one another and grow their careers. Its membership includes engineers, planners, landscape architects, right-of-way specialists, marketers, outreach professionals, students and others who are committed to promoting the WTS mission.
