Workshop Scheduled for July 12; Applications Due August 11
The Central Ohio Rural Planning Organization (CORPO) is seeking funding applications for transportation projects and programs from eligible local public agencies located within CORPO’s member counties. The two-year funding cycle will make funds available for state fiscal years 2024–2025. Approximately $2,000,000 is available during the two-year cycle, an amount nearly double the available funds from the last funding cycle.
The seven counties in the nonmetropolitan areas of the region include Fairfield, Knox, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway, and Union counties. Funds may be used for construction, expansion, reconstruction, preliminary engineering, right of way or preservation of roads and bridges on any public road; capital costs for public transit and bus terminals; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and other transportation-related activities.
Interested applicants can participate in a virtual workshop on the application and selection process to be held on Wednesday, July 12, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Information on participating in the workshop can be found here.
