The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) has launched the “Leaders Listen” survey series, in partnership with The Columbus Dispatch, to obtain Central Ohio residents’ opinions on experiences and services in the region.
The Leaders Listen Series is a set of short surveys produced by MORPC that will periodically invite community members residing within the Central Ohio region to share their input. The series is promoted by MORPC and the Columbus Dispatch across print and digital channels. Survey results are presented below.
We heard from more than 2,500 residents across our 15-county region. Survey participants shared their opinions on everything from biking and bus services, to proposed passenger rail and how they would like to see the region invest in transportation.

The third survey in the series highlighted residents’ views on current and future housing needs as well as the LinkUS Columbus Mobility Initiative. This focus will help guide and inform regional efforts to ensure that Central Ohio’s housing stock and public transportation system grows in tandem with its blossoming economy and influx of new residents.
