Seeking Public Input on Transportation Goals and Priorities for Central Ohio
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is developing the 2028-2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) which will guide investments in Central Ohio’s transportation system over the next three decades.
MORPC updates the MTP every four years, and the 2028-2055 MTP will be adopted in May of 2028.
As part of this MTP update, MORPC has secured a $1.4 million grant from the Federal Highway Administration to improve plan development, including more public engagement, improved project prioritization, and, generally, a development process that is more transparent to the public.
MORPC is currently seeking public input on the goals and objectives which will guide development of the 2028-2055 MTP.
“It is important that we understand what Central Ohioans want from their transportation system. The goals and objectives of the MTP will guide the process for determining which projects are planned for over the next 25 plus years.”
Thomas Graham, MORPC's Associate Director of Transportation Planning
Public input on these goals and objectives will be solicited in-person at multiple community events over the coming months. Additionally, MORPC has launched an online survey for members of the public to express their opinions on transportation issues facing the Central Ohio region and their suggestions for future transportation investments. This survey will remain open through October.
