Mobility Management

MORPC is the mobility management host for Franklin County. Mobility Managers assist individuals with accessing county transportation options, increase awareness of community transportation needs, and coordinate with other organizations and the community to integrate transportation into planning and programs.

Information and Referral

Need a ride? Call the mobility manager to discuss what transportation options are right for you. The mobility manager can provide information about transportation and refer you to the right option. Please note, the mobility manager does not book or provide rides.

Travel Training

The mobility manager can provide travel training. Travel training is a short, in-person training course intended to support people who want to learn how to use the public transportation system. Both COTA and MORPC offer travel training. To learn more, please email Emma Strange or contact COTA to see if travel training is right for you. Read about COTA’s travel training here: How to Ride | COTA, Central Ohio Transit Authority. Let’s Go!

My Mobility Plan

Your Mobility Plan is a step-by-step breakdown of where you need to go, how you get there, and how you will get there in the future.

We will need to get around after we stop driving! Data shows that we will need transportation for ten years after we stop driving. Many people cannot afford to drive as the cost-of-living increases. These are just some of the reasons why mobility planning is a useful way to figure out your options before you need them.

Use the ‘My Mobility Plan’ document and accompanying guide to fill out your mobility plan today. If you have questions or would like a facilitated mobility discussion for your group or organization, contact the Mobility Manager at 614-233-4181.

  • Demand Response/Dial-A-Ride: passenger trips that are generated by over-the-phone, mobile app, or online requests for a scheduled vehicle to pick the passengers up and transport them to their destinations.
  • Door through door service: driver assists the passenger into the vehicle and into their home.
  • Door-to-door service: driver meets the passenger outside of the door of the pick-up location and drops them off at the door of the destination
